It has certainly been a year of transition. Two of Dylan’s great-grandmothers passed as well as Dylan’s chi energy healer, Helen. Our greyhound Cider also passed. She was almost 12 and had a wonderful life. We miss them all but continue to feel their presence and know that we will see them all again.

We are also in the process of moving so it has been very busy. I will start a new teaching job in the Fall, so I am very busy prepping for the new classes. We just found out today that Dylan and Gianna got into their new Montessori school. They were on the waiting list so it was so nice to hear that two spots opened up. It is on a large farm so they will learn about nature and animals as well. We were so impressed with the school when we went for the open house. They even have a bird observatory! I wish I went to a school like that when I was younger! They work from such a great teaching philosophy where each child progresses at their own pace and their individual strengths are recognized and fostered. Every school should adopt this framework since every child is different and learns and grows in a unique fashion. I think a lot of school problems and stress-related situations would decline if the individual child was honored as with the Montessori philosophy. Dylan and Gianna are very excited that we will now be living closer to Grammy. A close baby-sitter! Maybe now we can actually go out to dinner by ourselves one night! Grammy made Dylan a fantastic cake which they both helped decorate. She found his great food coloring, made from red-cabbage, curcumin and beets, to make the variety of colors. There is so much garbage in regular food-coloring. Dylan “painted” a T-rex and volcano picture on the cake. I guess to go along with the birthday dinosaur theme! They are really looking forward to the show. We will be taking the ferry from NJ to NY so that should also be fun for them. Something different than having a huge party as we did last year. I am just looking forward to lying on the beach and thinking about nothing! It has been such a hectic summer, and year for that matter, that a vacation will be great before the school year starts. We will go to the boardwalk and aquarium. Gianna is really eager to go to see the sharks!
On a different note, Uncle Paul’s winery is booming! We are so proud of him. He just won 6 awards at a wine competition and was featured on the local news. His website is www.bashakillvineyards.com. We wish him all the best. His wines are delicious and he is growing organic grapes for the new harvest. Joe is also making this fermented lichen drink called Kombucha. It is sold in natural health food stores and is suppose to be filled with probiotics and antioxidants. It takes a bit of getting use to but has also been used as an alternative cancer treatment. In any event it is brewing in my guestroom. We’ll let you know how it comes out! Not much else to report. We are very blessed and so thankful for all the love and prayers we continue to receive from around the world. We also finally updated our treatment plan. It compiles the last 4 years of research we have done and the treatments that have been helpful to Dylan. Again, we strongly believe that everyone must make their own informed choices and choose what is best for their specific bodies. We are so thankful for the people and resources that have come into our lives. We hope that our information will facilitate others’ search for a plan that meets their needs. Above all we know that Dylan was touched by God. We thank God every day, and all those who have interceded on Dylan’s behalf.
I continue with my energy classes and have met a wonderful group of people. I am also now selling my organic/natural body products at two places of business. I love making these synthetic-free and pesticide-free products and use them on the kids all the time. Friends and relatives loved them as gifts and encouraged me to branch out and sell to the public. Even though I am very busy with my new teaching schedule I just love making the products. They bring me much joy so I will continue to make them. It brings a good balance to my schedule.
We pray for love and light to all and radiate our deepest gratitude to all those who keep Dylan and our family in their prayers. Enjoy the rest of the summer. Thank you and may God bless all of you.
